What is a wimmel book?
A "Wimmelbuch" (German, literally "teeming picture book"), wimmel book or hidden picture book is a type of large-format picture book without words. It is characterized by drawings that cover the entire page (sometimes on fold-outs) and depict richly detailed scenes with people, animals and objects. The drawings, which are usually made for children, are full of characters and objects that can be discovered.
